About BWSC
BWSC offers practice flexibility. It recommends that swimmers attend at least 3 out of the 5 or 6 practices scheduled each week. BWSC competes in swimming meets throughout Western Pennsylvania that are structured to provide fair competition for participants from novice swimmers to the more talented and competitive individual. Meet information and structures can be obtained though the Allegheny Mountain Swimming Association's website at www.amswim.org.
BWSC is governed by a board of directors made up of parent volunteers. Its coaching staff consists of individuals who are certified through the American Swimming Coach Association (ASCA). Additionally, BWSC coaches are all American Red Cross certified in Lifegaurding Safety, CPR and First Aid.
